This week, The Shiver Show serves up a suspenseful love triangle called, The Lonely Road. Gregory Peck plays Steve, a handsome young man, married to a wealthy, older woman (Cathy Lewis). When Steve becomes fatally attracted to the new housekeeper (Maria Palmer), he begins to forget his wedding vows.
Written by Mary North and produced by William Spier, The Lonely Road first aired in 1946 on the Suspense series, and it's a ripper of a crime/suspense thriller.
Mary and Greg talk about how Palmer and Lewis hold their own playing opposite movie star, Gregory Peck, and how the sound of a sharpening knife can really set the mood. Listen now!
